Coming to terms
The majority of recent support issues have been related to the system of “Terms” in Essign. Previously, when a teacher created a course in Essign, it had to be assigned to a specific term of the school year, e.g. Fall 2010 or Spring 2011. When that term was over, the course would disappear. This seemed like an intuitive conclusion for an application developer, but this behavior was simply too transparent to the end-user. Courses were disappearing and teachers didn’t know why!
Well, no longer.Now, teachers can simply mark courses as “activated” or “deactivated”. Deactivated courses won’t be searchable or visible to students. That’s all there is to it.
Sometimes, simpler is better.
